Izan Guevara capped off a flawless weekend at the Moto2 French Grand Prix with a commanding victory in a chaotic, incident-filled race. Starting from pole position, the Blu Cru Pramac Yamaha rider executed a clear strategy from start to finish, dominating both the opening phase and the second stint after a restart triggered by a red flag.

World championship leader Manu González finished second, edging out Ivan Ortolá at the finish line. The result secured another Spanish podium sweep in the intermediate class, following similar clean sweeps in Thailand and Brazil.

Although the rain had stopped at Le Mans, the Moto2 race began under wet conditions after all practice sessions had been held on dry asphalt. The pit lane was opened for ten minutes to allow reconnaissance laps, and the race distance was shortened to 14 laps.

The start was cleaner than in the Moto3 race, with Izan Guevara immediately pushing hard to hold the lead. Behind him, championship leader Manu González moved from fifth to second in just a few meters. Daniel Holgado, second in the standings, struggled from the beginning and was the first to drop out in a race that soon faced another setback.

After three laps, a crash on the main straight involving Jorge Navarro triggered a red flag, the fourth of the season in Moto2. Following a restart from the original grid positions, the race resumed with nine laps remaining.

The second start turned into pure chaos. Barry Baltus crashed, and the frontrunners took wildly different lines. Poleman Izan Guevara emerged unscathed, repeating his strategy to take the lead and building a gap over his rivals. This time, Alonso López claimed second, with Manu González and Ivan Ortolá close behind.

As penalties and investigations piled up for the chaotic opening meters, Guevara settled into a steady pace, maintaining a two-second lead over the chasing pack. Manu González made a late push, increasing his rhythm in the final laps, but it was not enough to catch Guevara, who capped off a perfect weekend with victory.
