Former Spartak Moscow player Eduard Mor stated on Match TV that Zenit will not have an easy game against Rostov in the 30th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL). However, he is confident the St. Petersburg side will avoid defeat and secure the title.
“In fact, Zenit won’t have it easy. Rostov have been playing well in recent matches. They even scored three goals against Akron, which hasn’t happened for a long time. But I think Zenit will not lose, meaning they will become champions,” Mor said on the program “All on Match!” on Match TV.
Zenit currently leads the RPL standings with 65 points, followed by Krasnodar with 63. On May 17, Zenit will play away against Rostov in the final round, while Krasnodar hosts Orenburg. A draw would be enough for Zenit to claim the championship title.
