FURIA overpowered HEROIC with a 13-4 win on Mirage followed by a 13-7 victory on Inferno. Meanwhile, Team Spirit took down MongolZ after a hard-fought 13-11 win on Dust II and a 19-16 overtime thriller on Ancient.
In other Round 2 High Matches on Sunday, MOUZ edged out G2 Esports 2-1, bouncing back from a 16-14 loss on Dust II to claim victories on Mirage (13-10) and Inferno (13-7). 9z Team also secured a 2-1 victory over Team Falcons.
Among the Round 2 Low Matches, Aurora, PARIVISION, and Monte each swept their opponents 2-0. Aurora rolled past The Huns Esports with 13-4 on Nuke and 13-3 on Dust II. PARIVISION dominated Fisher College (13-5 Mirage, 13-2 Ancient), while Monte defeated magic (13-11 Ancient, 13-7 Dust II). M8 completed a 2-1 win over K27, taking Nuke 13-9 and Ancient 13-9 after dropping Overpass 13-9.
The group stage continues through Wednesday, with all matches played in a best-of-three Swiss System format. The top eight teams will advance to the single-elimination playoffs, which are best-of-three until the best-of-five grand final on May 17. The champion will take home $256,000.
