The Asunción Premier Padel P2, held from May 4 to 10 at the Paraguayan Olympic Park, marked the first stop of the American tour. The men’s draw was full of surprises, while the women’s bracket largely followed the rankings—at least until the final.
In Asunción, defending champions Fede Chingotto and Ale Galán overpowered Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia, once again dethroning the world No. 1 pair. Meanwhile, in the women’s final, the No. 1 duo Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea were surprisingly defeated once more by the No. 2 team, Bea González and Paula Josemaría, in a tightly contested match that ultimately went to the Spanish pair.
With this result, Bea and Paula secured their fourth consecutive title, narrowing the gap on leaders Triay and Brea in the Race standings.
